The RVHS E sport team had a tournament on Friday, December 13 at Highland Community College. They finished 1st in the 3A Super Smash Bros Ultimate championship and took home 3rd and 4th place in the grand champion tournament out of all the schools that attended.
Isaac Whiteman took 1st in 3A and 4th in the Grand Champion tournament.
Alex Harman took 2nd in 3A and 3rd in the Grand Champion tournament.
Daniel Lewis took 4th in 3A.
Issac Whiteman, a senior on the E-sports team said his favorite part of the tournament was “the competition.” He also said the hardest part was “Just fighting your way through the ranks and getting up top.”
He encourages anyone who wants to play E-sports to “go for it! We are pretty versatile and there's a lot of options of games to choose from.”
