RVHS wrestlers traveled to Louisburg on Saturday to compete in a tournament. In their weight classes, Avery Hunter placed 1st, Cyrus Harding placed 3rd, and Calvin Riley placed 5th with a remarkable 4-1 performance.
When asked about his 4-1 record throughout the meet, Calvin remarked,
"I went 2-0 and so next I went against an opponent who was also 2-0. The winner would go for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th placement but I had lost that one. Afterwards the next matches would determine if I got 5th or 8th place and I won those matches so I got 5th."
All of our competitors worked hard and made RV proud at Louisburg.
