The Trig Star math competition was held recently, and two Panthers made the 2nd and 3rd placing in northeast Kansas.
Dakota Hittle, senior, finished in second place for the region and had the top score from RVHS. Hittle earned a plaque as well as a cash prize.
Griffin Cumpton, junior, placed 3rd in the region and also received a cash prize.
This year has proven to be the best performance by Royal Valley in the history of competing in the Trig Star.
When asked about how he felt, Griffin had this to say,
"Hearing I won was pretty exciting. It's a big thing so I'm glad I did good in it."
